Book is a faithful reproduction of the work, and there are no artifacts of reproduction that hinder ones ability to read. (writing this in the review since I was afraid when buying).The book describes the culture and life as observed by the author during his travels on the east coast of Africa, and West coast of India. It is especially useful for me, since I'm from Kerala, and it goes into detail about the historic kingdoms, lifestyle etc, of the Kerala and Karnataka coastline. Many forgotten aspects of Kerala & Indian culture that I've not heard form anyone else.
I bought the paperback option by Adamant Media Corporation (August 17, 2001)
