Regan Wakefield is a headhunter in both name and personality driven, motivated, and unafraid to pursue what-and who-she wants. Naturally, she's thrilled when her friend's wedding offers her an opportunity to score Logan McCade, the practically perfect best man. Unfortunately, groomsman Brock McNeil keeps getting in her way, riling her up in the most delicious of ways. But Brock's smooth southern charm isn't part of the plan...so how exactly did they end up having searing-hot sex?
Regan may pretend the erotic electricity sparking between them is merely a distraction, but Brock knows better. She refuses to see beyond the devil-may-care façade he presents to the world, while he sees straight through hers. Changing her mind-and getting under her skin-is a challenge he can't resist. And when he wins, Brock will do whatever it takes to convince Regan that the best man for her is him.
Each book in the Wedding Dare series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

2 3/4 Stars.Ok, I don't like being critical of authors because this is their work. It is personal to them and I love to read so I appreciate their work. This book wasn't bad, I just think the two main characters were not to my likeing. Brock could have been a super hot charming Southern panty dropper. He definitely had some very nice qualities, but he was weak and had low self-esteem. I'm more of an Alpha really take charge of every situation even if he's overbearing and kinda makes you very mad because of his overbearing controlling ways type of girl. I get where Brock was coming from, but dang; grow up and get on with your life. Regan was a judgemental *itch who thought she knew everything. I honestly don't know why he liked her in the first place. And I never understood her fear of nature. ???
Ok, with all that being said, I did get vested in them as a couple and I'm happy they got together. The last three chapters especially the Epilogue were pretty good. Now, on to Sophie and Logan. Happy reading.

Seducing the Bridesmaid Wedding Dare series Book 3 edition by Katee Robert Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Another good story in the Wedding Dare Series. Brock is such a wonderful man. I loved his character from the very beginning. When he spots Regan, he makes his move only to be harshly shot down. Regan is a New York headhunter. She's fought all her life to be successful and she isn't going to let the egotistical Brock stand in her way. No. She has a plan. She's set her eyes on Logan, the successful groomsmen, and isn't going to get sidetracked by her attraction to Brock. After all, Brock hasn't worked for his success. He just took what daddy gave him. Right?
I'll be honest, for the first 90% of the book, I wasn't a fan of Regan. She's was a cold, calculating hateful person. The way she treated Brock was uncomfortable to read. She played him. She used him. She talked down to him and she judged him. Wrongly and without reason. He was never anything but nice and polite. The fact he continually attempted to spend time with her was unbelievable. All his life his family, and others, have treated him as a disappointment. Nothing he ever did was good enough. So one day he made the decision to stop trying. He'd grown used to being the second son, the one who was a disappointment and lived life knowing he'd never be good enough. He even founded a top charity foundation but kept his identity a secret knowing it wouldn't matter. Only with Regan, he wants things to matter. He wants her to see him for him, and nothing else. But how can he fight for Regan when she wants another man, and doesn't think he's good enough? What'll happen when Regan realizes she's possibly made a mistake with her plan?
I won't tell you how this ends, but I will tell you I changed my mind about Regan. The girl finally made me proud. The Epilogue was wonderful and had me smiling from ear to ear. Read this series. You'll be glad you did.
Actual Rating 3.5/5
I love Katee Robert’s writing and I usually love her characters; so when I started this book and I wasn’t sure about Brock or Regan, I knew if I kept reading Katee wouldn’t steer me wrong. I’m glad I stuck with the book, while neither character is extremely likeable in the beginning, eventually I came around and could see how they fit well together. Brock is a bit of a beta male despite the fact that he wants to act like he’s a player. Regan is a bit aggressive and at times that came off as she was a giant $itch.
To be honest, I didn’t always agree with the thought processes of the characters in this book. I often wanted to shake them both. I’m sure that turned off a lot of people, but because I know this author I knew there would be pay off in the end. But this might be a deal breaker for some people, so please keep that in mind.

There are a couple ways a premise like "Wedding Dare" can go - it can either be a fun classic comedic romp as mismatched couples find their One True Pairing, it can feel romantic as pairs who never figured they'd find their life partner bond.... or it can feel skeevy as these women and men manipulate each other. Two of the four novels in this series, BAITING THE MAID OF HONOR and BEST MAN WITH BENEFITS, largely succeed for me because you end up feeling for the damaged member of the pair, and discover that Relentless Perfection is often a cover for damage of its own, and Deuced Hard Work! even when it's not - so you want these couples to succeed.
But Brock and Regan, the couple in this book? He's a rich playboy slacker and a bit oily, and she's manipulative and more than a bit vicious - these two deserve each other, though not in the way the book wants us to think! Supposedly Regan is a highly-regarded headhunter, who can "read" somebody in less than a minute and know what kind of person they are, which is how the book justifies her behavior to Brock (who she mis-reads pretty significantly, and spends far too much time buying his surface act!).
There's an attempt, later in the book, to show Brock as a more substantive character than the shallow playboy air he projects, by introducing a "secret project" he's involved in with very noble goals. I might be more impressed if his project didn't out-and-out feel like just something the author tossed in to make Brock a man Regan can respect (which she doesn't anywhere else in the book, treating him like a cross between a mildly amusing yapping dog and a marital aid!). The problem is, everything about this project feels perfunctory on the author's part, from its name to the fact that Brock's kept his participation such a secret that nobody knows, including his lower-class old friend Reed Lawson (the Male Main Character in this series' BAITING THE MAID OF HONOR), whose abusive childhood was its impetus!
Oh, yes - and there's Ye Olde Misunderstood comment/action that breaks the couple up temporarily, which is pretty egregiously used here! LAWYERS IN LOVE author N.M. Silber, on her Facebook page, went on a bit of a rant about romance novels using this device so often, pointing out that usually this could all be cleared up if the couple in question Just Talked To Each Other About It - which they never ever do, do they?
The "Wedding Dare" series is of varying quality as each book's written by a different author. This is my least favorite of the series, and it's hard to believe Regan or Brock are the devoted and happy couple presented in the semi-sequel MEETING HIS MATCH (in which Regan persuades her matchmaker friend Addison to try and "fix up" Brock's business-oriented older brother Caine).
2 3/4 Stars.
